Our Staff at Lake Community Church

Marv Norlien, Intentional Interim Senior Pastor:  Marv is joining us as of June 1, 2017 to help us transition between permanent senior pastors. He has served in this role in six previous churches. Marv is a graduate of Bethel Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. His hobbies include travel, reading, guitar, camping, biking, photography, gardening, running, and of course spending time with the grandkids.

Melody Warren, Care & Women's Ministries:    Melody's love for Jesus has given her a compassion for people who are hurting, spending her time in counseling sessions or teaching women God’s Word.  She loves it when God speaks to people, changes lives, and empowers them to make wise choices.  She and her husband Brad, have two adult daughters, Toni and Maggie, and three grandchildren.   Melody enjoys time at home, eating a good meal with her family and friends, and traveling.

Paul Peterson, Associate Pastor:  Paul joined the pastoral staff in February 2014 serving in the areas of student, children and family ministries.  He is passionate about teaching, helping people connect, and equipping people to make disciples.  Paul and his wife Amanda have four boys Eric, Eli, Micah, and Daniel.  In his spare time Paul enjoys golfing, building, boating, and cooking.

Michelle Saffel, Administrator:  Michelle is the brains of the outfit.  When not behind her desk as our office manager, she and her husband Tom enjoy boating, fishing and kayaking.  Other hobbies include cross-stitch, reading and gardening.

Amanda Peterson, Worship Arts Director:  Amanda has a passion to see God glorified through the hearts of His people.  It is also her desire to see artists fully equipped, trained and released to bring their art to the feet of Jesus as an act of worship.  Amanda and her husband Paul have four active boys: Eric, Eli, Micah, and Daniel.  When she is not at church, homeschooling their oldest, or chasing their boys she enjoys "upcycling" furniture for their home, crafting of all sorts, reading, and drinking coffee with friends.
