Nashville Recap

Thank you to all of you who supported our group by praying for our team and/or generously supporting us financially.   We had 5 high school girls that went and this was the first mission trip for 4 of the 5 students.  Due to the nature of some of the places and people we worked with, we are unable to post pictures of everything but here are some that capture the highlights and give you a glimpse of what we did.

This is a faith based organization that feeds about 600 people per meal, 3 meals per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.  They also have a life recovery program that is a Christ-centered restorative program that helps the homeless and addicted identify the reasons for their brokenness and to wholistically rebuild their lives.   We served alongside these program participants to prepare and serve one of the meals to the homeless public.

At the Nashville Rescue Mission we also sorted donations to so they are ready to given to the clients.

At Second Harvest Food Bank, they provide food for over 500 local food banks, schools and more.  While serving with them we sorting about 6,200 pounds of food which is enough for over 5,000 meals.

We also spent some time serving with kids at a local housing project, doing a scavenger hunt to explore Nashville while praying for people and handing out sack lunches, as well as handing out water bottles and praying for people along the Broadway Street in Downtown.
