Marriage Retreat: Making Marriage Thrive, Not Just Survive

This two-day event is a great way to invest in your marriage without leaving Alexandria. It’s time to stop just surviving. It’s time to thrive!

Open to all couples - newlyweds, married for decades, or the in between! 

Marriage is a lifelong adventure of growing together through every age and stage of life. The happiest couples are those who commit to learning skills that can help them weather the storm, communicate well, and deal confidently with any challenge that comes their way.

The weekend begins with dinner and an opening presentation at 6:00pm on Friday, May 4 and wraps up at 8:30pm. Saturday, May 5 begins at 9:00am and wraps up around 2:30pm. The retreat features informative group break-out sessions of your choice, alone/break time with your spouse, and a marriage panel. You will never be asked to share intimate details of your relationship with anyone.

Childcare will be available during all retreat events at Lake Community Church. The marriage retreat events will be held at Aagard.

We understand that committing to both days may not be an option for your family. Feel free to register for Friday night only or Saturday's events separately, whatever works best for you and your family's schedule.

Friday Schedule:
5:30pm - Childcare drop-off at Lake Community Church
6:00pm - Dinner & Presentation (at Aagard)
8:30pm - Childcare pick-up begins

Saturday Schedule:
8:30am - Childcare drop-off at Lake Community Church
9:00am - Breakout sessions (at Aagard)
10:00am - Break time with your spouse
10:30am - Breakout sessions
11:00am - Break time with your spouse
12:00pm - Lunch provided
1:00pm - Marriage 'Q&A' Panel
Day concludes at 2:30pm.

Cost: $35 for both days or $20 per day
